Dakota Machine Works is located in Corona, South Dakota, a rural community in the northeast part of the state.
Corona is in the heart of the Glacial Lakes/Prairie area, an agricultural region. Many of our neighbors and friends make their living raising livestock and crops. On our days off we enjoy fishing Big Stone Lake, a nationally known trophy fishing lake. In the fall we can take the opportunity to hunt for everything from pheasants and wild turkeys to deer.
If it's shopping we’re after, we might head over to Milbank, or maybe Watertown if we want to shop Target® or Wal-Mart®. Advantages of city life, shopping, shows, concerts, etc. can still be found just a couple hours away in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota.
Many advantages of small town life are still available here. If you have to drive 10 miles, it only takes 10 minutes. Schools are well-run and not over-crowded. Opportunities exist for families to grow in a environment that supports them.
